Kit(s)ch(ick)en

Kit(s)ch(ick)en captures the essence of the Woman's Weekly ethos. Catering mainly to housewives, the Woman's Weekly encompasses the theme of domesticity. Recipes, knitting and crochet patterns (oftentimes either impractical, nonessential or just plain ugly) and various other handicrafts were and to some extent remain central to the magazine. Kit(s)ch(ick)en celebrates and satirizes these traditional "housewifey" things. It provides the Kitchen kudos with a touch of Kit(s)ch portraying ch(ick)ens in a (s)(ick), mawkish kind of way.
